Season Kickoff at Center for Southern Folklore with live music, food by the Majestic Grille, preview of the season, membership discounts and more!

Thursday Night Live! Come to the Metal Museum to hear live music from Star & Micey, presented by the Memphis Music Foundation. Complimentary wine included; food available for purchase.

Reception at Memphis College of Art and docent-led tour of
Who Shot Rock N Roll: A photographic history, 1955 to Present
at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art

Wednesday, November 10 ∙ 6:30 p.m.

Come to the the Stax Museum of American Soul Music for a reception with refreshments followed by a private tour. Stax is a treasure trove of exhibits on soul music legends like Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Aretha Franklin and hundreds more.

Friday, December 10 6 p.m.
"Art on the Edge" at Marshall Arts
Visit Marshall Arts for this latest installment of the Soul Cinema series, screenings of vintage African-American films with live soundtrack performances. This night’s film, Trouble Man, features a soundtrack by Marvin Gaye. Enjoy food and drink as you watch and listen.

Thursday, January 20 ∙ 7 p.m.
Bravo previews A Midsummer Night's Dream, a collaboration between Opera Memphis and Playhouse on the Square. This is the premiere production of Michael Ching’s operatic innovation on the Shakespearean classic.

Tuesday, February 22 6 p.m.
Discover Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital’s new art collection. Works by the region’s top artists, as well as children's artwork, have made Le Bonheur a restorative and hopeful place. A private tour through this unique hospital will be followed by drinks and hors d’oeuvres at Mollie Fontaine Lounge.

Thursday, March 3 7 p.m.
Voices of the South presents Cicada, a play by its artistic director, Jerry Dye. Cicada, a “coming-of-age ghost story,” is the tale of a family in rural Mississippi struggling to let go of its past in a world of ghosts, secrets and tenacious memories. Come to TheatreWorks to see how this Southern family tries to lay its ghosts to rest.
Wednesday, May 4 7 p.m.
Germantown Community Theatre presents The Foreigner, an uproarious comedy set in rural Georgia. Charlie, a shy young man, is introduced to the community as a foreigner who speaks no English. In this guise, he overhears secrets, including the plots of a sinister minister. Hilarity ensues as the play builds to a raucous climax that should leave you rolling on the floor in laughter.

Thursday, June 30 ∙ 7 p.m.
Based on the famous film, Footloose tells the story of how the rural town of Beaumont is transformed by the arrival of Ren, a city kid who loves to dance. This stage phenomenon will electrify the audience with its exciting blend of music, dance and story. With music by Tom Snow, Kenny Loggins and Sammy Hagar, you’ll want to dance and sing along.
