About Arts Memphis - Raising funds to ensure excellence in the arts and build a vibrant cultural community for everyone
ArtsMemphis
ArtsMemphis is a fundraising and grant making organization that supports arts organizations, arts education and outreach efforts and leads a community-wide Audience Development Initiative to promote engagement in the arts.

Fundraisers

As fundraisers, we raise money for the arts in several ways. Click the links below to find out how you can support arts organizations, artists and arts education.

  • Make a donation to ArtsMemphis. More than 95% of every dollar raised through the annual campaign is returned to the arts community.
  • Attend an ArtsMemphis event. ARTAFACTOR, held at a private home each spring,  is our biggest annual event. We also host Shell Out for the Arts, a family-friendly evening at the Levitt Shell, twice a year.
  • Buy First Shooting Light or Wild Abundance. Our publishing division, Wild Abundance Publishing, produces and sells books that celebrate the best of the sporting South, the proceeds from which benefit the arts, conservation and environmental education.

Grant Makers

As grant makers, we allocate money to 50 arts groups through nine different grant categories. We also provide mentoring, oversight, promotion and advocacy to our funded groups. ArtsMemphis has distributed nearly $40 million over the past 10 years. If you represent an arts organization, click here for grant categories and information.

Arts Promoters

As leaders of a community-wide Audience Development Initiative, ArtsMemphis encourages engagement in the arts across the community. Click the links below to find out how to experience the arts in Memphis.

Arts Advocates

As advocates, we are members of Tennesseans for the Arts and urge legislators to protect funding for the arts. One of the best ways you can advocate for the arts is to buy an arts specialty license plate. Last year, 70% of Tennessee Arts Commission grant funding for arts groups, artists and arts education came from specialty plate sales. Click here for information on arts plates.
